Website Redesign

This assignment was for Shear Elegance— a pet grooming salon. The assignment was for a new homepage design in an effort to organize the information effectively, improve user experience, and give it a fresh, modern feel. They needed a new logo, color palette, and layout.  Essentially the goal was to simplify the information, incorporate some well-deserved hierarchy, and add some excitement. 

I needed to design this in a way that was visually interesting and captured the eye, but also provided the consumer with a seamless experience. My first order of business was to organize the information and determine where I wanted to place emphasis. This helped eliminate extra clutter within the site and allowed for better organization of the material. Once I established the layout I chose images, new colors, a couple new typefaces, and designed a new logo. I topped if off with an adorable picture of a Yorkshire Terrier that is sure to catch any dog-lovers eye!
