The client for this project was Dakota County Technical College.  The assignment was to create an issue of the 2023 newsletter. The primary focus for this particular newsletter was the upcoming graduation and a spotlight on the Graphic Design Technology program. For this I needed to design a new front page announcing the upcoming graduation, as well as organize additional pages of content inside.

My first initiative was to design the front page and to organize the information in a way to create visual interest. Equipped with the brand guidelines, I began by organizing the text and deciding how I wanted to use the brand elements for emphasis and style. It was a challenge figuring out how to organize the information in a clean, yet engaging way. After several revisions and the addition of a table and stylized quote, the layout began looking cleaner and more cohesive. I topped it off with the DCTC logo on the front and back, along with more information about graduation as well as contact information for the college.
