This was an assignment for Coastal Seafoods; a company with locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. I needed to design a modern label illustration and choose a complimentary color palette and typeface for their new line of premium canned smoked salmon.

I began this project exploring a new color palette and sketching out possible design and layout options. I needed to provide the instructor with four layout options to choose from, as well as a color palette that was limited to 3–4 colors.  After several revisions from the instructor I presented this digital version of the label to get final thoughts. After the final approval, I placed the label on a appropriately sized canned food mockup to demonstrate how the final product would look to consumers.
